VIPER is possibly the first combat robot in the world to use the name we first started the build in 1999.




Home made right angle worm drive gearbox 15-1 reduction.

This is one of the 15-1 reduction worm drive gearboxes we have made for Viper, with 800 watt motor.
This is the axe mechanism it consists of a cam drive through a 40-1 reduction box driven by an 800-watt motor; springs are used to operate the axe once tensioned.

These are modified 8" steel trailer wheels converted to split rim. They are filled with polystyrene pipe insulation.
